Meet Our Founder/Director

Janet Lohmann is one of very few faith-based certified counselors for domestic violence, drugs/alcohol, and crisis intervention. She is also OES, (Offender Employment Specialist), trained. Janet holds a certification as a non-profit manager as well.

Unaware of the doors the Lord was opening for her and the ladies of the Quad City area, Janet traveled to the Scott County Jail in 2004 to share her story and her personal relationship with Jesus Christ.

God showed Janet that He was at work throughout the Scott County Jail as a result of her experience at the facility. He was extending an invitation to Janet and others to participate in the work that needed to be done.

Janet knew what was needed. God revealed to her what was required to assist those women in renouncing their criminal lifestyles. Day by day, changes began to happen.

After extensive study and prayer, GROW Ministries became the Quad Cities first faith-based, non-profit facility for women experiencing crisis in 2005.
