GROW’s Jail Ministry

There are several resources that inmates can benefit from. However, they can also utilize the Word of God to aid in transforming their behavior. Here at GROW Ministries, we have a Jail Ministry Program.

This ministry is dedicated to serving women needs both inside and outside of jail/prison. We assist women in learning about the transformative power of having a close relationship with Jesus Christ while they’re incarcerated.

With the support of GROW, women can leave prison with a significantly lower chance of going back to jail/prison in the future.

 This ministry has 2 individual components:

• In-Prison Ministry: for women who are incarcerated, this ministry is offered in Rock Island County, IL and Scott County, Iowa. Every week, a message from the Word of God is given to these women encouraging them to make changes in their lives.

• After Care Ministry: women who have been released from jail/prison will receive continued support and encouragement from GROW’s After Care Ministry Program. Advocates from GROW are able to accompany women with sentence hearings and court appearances. Additionally, any woman enrolled in GROW’s After Care Ministry must actively participate in a local faith-based community.
